SOFTWARE ENGINEER – 3D models/ 3D simulations – scientific computing – Game Engines

Our customer, Copenhagen Atomics, is working on the development of a modular thorium molten salt reactor. The form factor and modularity enable low-cost mass manufacturing. At present, the company is the only supplier of commercial molten salt test loops needed for the development of components and technologies for molten salt reactors.

The task:

In this job you will be working with 3D data structures, reactor CAD models, 3D simulation tools and scientific computing. Copenhagen Atomics will improve simulations with tools such as OpenFoam, OpenMC and Serpent used for nuclear reactor simulations. You will have a key role in our nuclear reactorsimulation team and help nuclear engineers reach uncharted territory in the field of nuclear reactor simulations.

About you:

You are a very experienced software engineer with several years of experience in game engines, C# and/or C++. We expect that you have experience with multithreaded development and 3D files structures and 3D models. It is a big plus if you also have some experience with ray tracing algorithms, CUDA or similar. You probably have extensive knowledge about algorithms, linear algebra, matrix operations and scientific computing. Preferably you also have a good understanding of physics. It is a must that you have experience with Linux and git. You enjoy working in close collaboration with engineers and physicists.

You are good at keeping appointments and delivering on time. We have a workplace where the pace is high and errors can be expensive. If you like to be challenged in your job, then this is the right place to work for you.
