The position

For our client Stratasys, in central Copenhagen, we are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer for design and construction of 3D printers.

The team in Copenhagen is a part of the global 3D giant Stratasys, and responsible for a brand-new series of 3D printers with the ambition of moving 3D print from prototyping into production. You will play a key role in the team, developing a high-speed 3D printer based on world-leading piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet technologies.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for, and drive, the mechanical development of Stratasys Copenhagen 3D printers, including the overall machine/printer design as well as for complex modules of the machine.

Your role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, vil be to participate in design and construction of 3D printers, optimizing, making the 3D printers robust and making the design ready for manufacturing and service, as well as developing tools and features to assist other teams like R&D and customer support.

Educational level:

  • BSc or MSc mechanical engineering

Language:

Working as part of an international company, you will need to be fluent in written and spoken technical English.

Practical experience:

  • BSc or MSc mechanical engineering
  • CAD super user
  • Design and development of products involving precision custom mechanical components and the integration of electronics and/or fluidics
  • Completion of at least one complete product development cycle, from concept through full design and development to successful market introduction and customer support
  • Manufacturing methods for both rapid prototyping and mass production
  • Experience with DFM, DFA, DFS, DFX
